Pure Intracranial Schwannoma of Cranial Nerve X: Case Presentation and Literature Review
DOI:
https://doi.org/10.71332/g333yg89Abstract
Schwannomas most commonly arise from the vestibulocochlear nerve, whereas purely intracranial vagus nerve schwannomas confined to the cerebellomedullary cistern are exceptionally rare, with only a small number of cases reported. Because of its rarity, these lesions often mimic more common cerebellopontine angle tumors and lack standardized guidelines for diagnosis and surgical management.
